OIL ON PANEL BY ACHILLE GASTON MARCHAL MEAUVE LES MOULINS XXEME H3760This knife painting is typical of the work of Gaston Marchal, it represents "Meauve les Moulins". She is colorful. Achille Gaston Marchal (born in 1874) was a student at the School of Fine Arts. Exhibits at the Salon de la Nationale des Beaux-arts, Independents and Autumn. Landscape painter. State will buy a work from the artist in 1949 (page 841). Relief, encouragement, compensation granted to artists and their families (from 1888 to 1969). This artist notably painted the landscapes of Seine-et-Marne a lot, as evidenced by the collections of the Departmental Museum of Sceaux. For the state, we report some rubbing and micro-scratches, spots in the clouds at the top right, however the work remains presentable. Note wear to the gilding on the frame and slight losses.
