OIL ON PANEL NAKED ACADEMIC MAN 1940 BY ALAIN BEAUFRETON TO BE CONFIRMED A4331The signature of this oil on canvas is difficult to decipher. Maybe Alain Beau Freton, but I couldn't confirm that. It represents an academic nude with a man with slightly slanted eyes. The work is well executed. The frame is also from the 20th century. It is probably an oil on canvas that has been cut out and repositioned on a panel. We report rubbing and small white dots on the oil, wear to the gilding on the frame. Note what we believe to be a face level restoration on the left and right side from the middle down, seen in the 10th and 11th photos. Note small gaps on the frame, traces and marks on the burgundy velvet. The work remains largely presentable, we are picky and mention the slightest flaw. We did a basic cleaning. Sold untouched.
