OIL ON CANVAS JEAN PAUL GUINEGAULT SEASIDE SAINT MATHURIN A4502 This oil on canvas was produced by Jean-Paul Guinegault, he is a marine painter. It represents a seaside near Saint-Mathurin. Jean Paul Guinegault French painter (1918-2009), masters drawing and perspective which give his paintings solidity and relief. Colourist, he tames the light and the people of the shadows: the gouaches are marked by vigor. Its motifs evoke landscaped France: the Mediterranean Baux de Provence, the alleys flowered with hollyhocks of Talmont or the Île de Ré, the mills of Cancale, and above all the wooden boats of the Atlantic awaiting a hypothetical departure at the tide or an agony in the mud. Member of the Independents of Paris, Member of French Artists, selected for the France-signature prize, Jean-Paul Guinegault was able to exhibit quite often at the Ror Volmar galleries, in Burgundy and in Paris. The frame is original, it is a ceruse frame. Note some slight rubbing on the frame. The work is in good condition, despite some slight rubbing, small holes at the 4 corners which seem to be traces of an old frame, a depression which has formed a hole (visible on the 4th and last photo). The work has not been restored, however it remains in a largely acceptable condition. For the state thank you for detailing the photos. Feel free to zoom. The photos are an integral part of the description. Dimensions:- Frame: Height: 60.5 cm Thickness: 7 cm Width: 75.5 cm- Painting: Height: 48.5 cm Width: 63.5 cm I remain at your disposal for any questions.
