We see two Bretons in a typical interior, the whole is signed René Le Forestier.René le Forestier born in Pontivy on January 17, 1903 and died in Concarneau on September 4, 1972 is a French painter who lived in Concarneau and painted especially Brittany. After training as a hairdresser, René Le Forestier was a student of Arthur Midy and moved to Concarneau 14, place Saint-Guénolé where he ran an art gallery, in the heart of the "closed city" that he painted abundantly. Painter of great talent, he also carried out a lot of "food painting", that is to say works of small format quickly painted, but within the reach of all budgets.
