There is an inscription on the back indicating "Soleil couchant l'abreuvoir Alsace France, Eth. Meyer". The frame is from the 20th century, added later, but is perfectly suited to this work. This work is presented unprepared, unrestored, we report small cracks due to time, minimal lack of paint in places, however this oil remains presentable, chic and executed with a nice brushstroke.
