OIL ON CANVAS LANDSCAPE SOUS BOIS BY E ASTRUC XXTH A4142 This oil on canvas was produced by Edmond Astruc (1878-1977) painter from Marseille, Provence, the Côte d'Azur. His first watercolors date from 1888, he was 10 years old. He took part in numerous exhibitions in Marseille, Paris, Algiers, Lyon, Grenoble, Geneva, Aix-en-Provence... and participated every year from 1930 to 1939, then after in 1946, at the Salon des Artistes de Provence where he had many price and in particular the Price Moves. In 1952, he presented at the Moulot Gallery, "55 years of painting by the Marseilles painter Edmond Astruc" where one can follow the entire evolution of his art, from his first watercolors to the latest to date: "The porch of the town hall of Marseille". A nice technique, nice lighting, the work represents a landscape of undergrowth, everything is 20th century in a rather good state of preservation. The work is sold uncleaned, nature, untouched, we report wear and friction on the whole, a slight deformation on the middle. It is sold unframed. For the state thank you for detailing the photos.
