OIL ON CANVAS BY ADRIENNE JOUCLARD XX YOUNG CHILDREN IN A WHEELBARROW A4340This oil on canvas depicts two young infants sitting on a wheelbarrow. It is an oil produced by Adrienne Jouclard probably at the very beginning of the 20th century. This recognized artist has very strong ratings on Artprice that can reach several thousand euros. Adrienne Jouclard is a painter, draftsman and drypoint engraver, born in Onville on September 4, 1882 and died in Versailles on December 14, 1972. From an early age her gifts manifested themselves and her career as a painter is impressive. Until her retirement in 1942, she was a drawing teacher in various schools in the city of Paris while pursuing her career as a painter which officially began in 1907 when she exhibited at the Premier Salon des Artistes Français. She crosses borders, travels to Morocco, Tunisia, where her works fix the colors, the life, the movement of these countries. For the record: she is proposed in marriage by the Bey of Tunis but Adrienne has been married for a long time with her brushes, which leaves no room for the Bey. Onville and all the surroundings make his brushes work. In its exhibitions, Lorraine is never absent. His career will be long. She is inimitable in her works of movement for which she executes hundreds of drawings for a single painting. She was nicknamed the Goddess of Movement. Her talents recognized, Adrienne JOUCLARD was decorated with the Legion of Honor in 1931 for the Colonial Exhibition. You can admire several of his paintings at the Lorrain Historical Museum, at the Nancy Fine Arts Museum, but also in Rome, at the Termes Museum, in Greece at the Delphi Museum, at the National Museum of Athens, in Bucharest at the Tonin Stelian Museum and in museums in Prague, London, Sofia and Vienna. A nice background of green landscape on the right and on the left, the characters of young children are beautifully made with a beautiful technique. We report an accident and stains on the frame, some very light rubbing on the canvas. The work is in good general condition. We carried out a summary cleaning, the work is sold untouched.
