We are there in the 30s. It has its original frame. It represents fishermen sitting on the wharf, a man is moving, he is carrying traps. Young children are playing in the background. On the back there is a label bearing the title Pasajes de San Juan. The municipality of Pasajes de San Juan is formed by the union of several historic districts that come together in a bay connected to the sea. The whole heritage of Pasajes de San Juan forms one of the most picturesque in Guipuzcoa, one of the three provinces of the autonomous community of the Basque Country, in northern Spain. François-Maurice Roganeau (1883-1973) is a French painter, illustrator and sculptor. As an illustrator, he mainly works for the publisher Henri Laurens. He also provided stained glass boxes to the master glassmaker Gustave Pierre Dagrant, such as that for the stained glass window in the church of Castillon-la-Bataille.
