Claudius LAVERGNE is an artist born in 1814 and died in 1887.  Louis-Eugène Bion, born in Paris on April 12, 1807 and died in Versailles on January 21, 1860, is a French sculptor. He married Aline-Edme Saffroy with whom he had a son, Paul-Laurent, who was also a sculptor. The work has not been restored, we must accept the various small tears, wear and lack of paint.
