Orientalist oil on panel by Alexis Louis de Broca Street scene The Kasbah of the Oudayas in Morocco 20th A5024Here is a nice painting by Alexis de Broca. The oil depicts a street scene from La Kasbah des Oudayas in Morocco. The Kasbah of the Oudayas, about fifteen minutes (on foot) from the center of the city of Rabat, classified as World Heritage by UNESCO, has become for many artists from Morocco and around the world, a haven of peace and inspiration. The work has not been cleaned, however it remains in acceptable general condition, we note a few small stains in places, traces of wear and a few small knocks on the original frame. Alexis de Broca (1868-1948) is a French painter and draftsman, member of the Society of French Artists, he obtains a silver medal at the Salon of French Artists of 1922. Draftsman in many press titles, he is known, in particular, for his designs for the LU brand. Our many photos allow you to appreciate the quality of the object.
