MUSHROOM-TYPE KANAK PUZZLE MASS NEW CALEDONIA HARD WOOD REGISTRATION TO BE IDENTIFIED A1005This mushroom-shaped war club puzzle is of Kanak origin in New Caledonia. It is 19th century and is made of hard and heavy wood. The patina is brown verging on red. You will notice an inscription or markings to identify. It is in a good state of conservation, some small marks of friction the wood is split along the length (see photos) however they remain in a good state of conservation.
