Rare Marine Artillery sword model 1816 manufactured under the July Monarchy

Ovoid pommel surmounted by a dome receiving the rivet button.

Baluster handle decorated with 18 rows of scales with 3 steel rivets to secure the blade

Straight cruise, united, with rounded quillons stamped with the navy anchor, numerous hallmarks.

Straight blade 48.7 cm long, 4.2 cm wide at the heel, with two gutters 9 cm long and 0.9 cm wide at its base then a central hollow section 26.5 cm long and 1.5 cm to finish at 1.2 cm

Beautiful stained blade but not blunted or chipped, on one side surely Manuf. Royale de Klingenthal (erased remains of traces) on the other marked June 1840 and various hallmarks.

Leather sheath (small lack of sewn thread but it exists) with two brass fittings with staples, hallmarks B under star and 3 as well as the leather stamped 1903
