MOSES MICHELANGELO BRONZE STATUE BY NELLI ROMA XIXTH MARBLE E610This representation of Moses in bronze is a reworking of Michelangelo's statue. Nelli Roma is a good Italian cross-country skier. The bronze has a finely chiseled chocolate patina. The statue is supported by a terraced base with two essences, a red marble and a black marble. We are here in the neoclassical period, probably in the middle of the 19th century. The statue of Moses or Mosè in Italian is a sculpture by Michelangelo, executed around 1513-1515, integrated into the Tomb of Julius II in the Basilica of Saint Peter at the Links in Rome. The Nelli foundry regularly exhibited at various fairs and exhibitions around the world (London, Paris and Melbourne...), often winning prizes and certificates of merit. In 1897, the foundry, which employed about 250 workers, was forced to close. We report friction and wear, scratches and micro-scratches, stains. The marble is slightly damaged in the corners. Note that the character is not fixed perfectly to the marble and moves slightly. All the same remains presentable and acceptable. For the state thank you for detailing the photos. Feel free to zoom. The photos are an integral part of the description. Dimensions: Height: 24 cm Length: 10.5 cm Width: 9.5 cm I remain at your disposal for any questions.
