Description

Monix 3-light floor lamp from the 50s-60s. Triangular cast iron feet (marked on the back Monix France) - 3 torch-shaped light arms. The floor lamp is adjustable in height from 140 cm to 174 cm. It is in good condition with usual signs of use (base). Monix is an iconic brand in the field of lighting, founded by Maxime Lokiec and based in Paris. The company is particularly known for its innovations, including the patent filed in 1922 for a spring-braked articulation ball joint, used on most of its models. In 1933, Maxime Lokiec also filed a patent for a wall light, and in 1936, he developed a new lampshade in molded material. Monix lamps, often made of nickel-plated brass and equipped with sliding and pivoting light arms, were very popular in France, especially in the 1920s to 1980. The company has evolved with the times, modernizing its products after the Second World War to offer a complete range of lighting fixtures suitable for interiors. Today, Monix lighting fixtures are sought after for their vintage design and artisanal quality, reflecting a time when innovation and aesthetics were at the heart of the creation of lighting products.
