19th Miniature Judgment of Paris Juno (Hera) Minerva (Athena) and Aphrodite (Venus) Minerva H6541 This hand-painted miniature is from the 19th century, it is of high quality. It represents the goddesses Hera, Athena and Aphrodite.- Juno (Hera), a crown and a gigantic kingdom.- Minerva (Athena), warrior glory.- Aphrodite (Venus), the unconditional love of the most beautiful woman in the world . In Greek mythology, the Judgment of Paris is an important episode which puts the goddesses Hera, Athena and Aphrodite in competition, and prefigures the Trojan War. This episode is the origin of the expression “bone of discord”. Lucian of Samosata parodied the subject in The Judgment of the Goddesses. The miniature has its protective glass. For the state, note traces of wear and marks on the wooden frame, however the whole is in an acceptable general state. Our many photos allow you to appreciate the quality of the object.
