Malachite clock from the Napoleon III period decorated with gilded bronze putti M2445 Here is an exceptional clock from the Napoleon III period. It has bronze feet, a malachite base, very rich gilt bronze ornamentation around the base, an enamel frame and two gilt bronze putti holding a laurel wreath. Everything is exceptional, the carving, the gilding, but also the malachite base, a rare centerpiece of very good quality. Malachite is well known for its exceptional color, it is a unique material. We specify that this clock has not been restored, the following defects must be accepted. We report small losses of malachite in places, notably a damaged plaque at the bottom left, a few chips on the base (not very important but present), small holes on the gilded bronze at the top (which suggests that there is perhaps had another element in gilded bronze). The enamel dial is cracked. The malachite plates around the dial were glued back later, particularly on the upper part. This clock is sumptuous, it has its own movement and weighs a lot, which means that delivery will be done in person or by specialized carrier. Our photos allow you to appreciate the quality of the object. For the condition, please detail the photos. Feel free to zoom in. The photos are an integral part of the description. Dimensions: Height: 45.5 cm Base width: 50 cm Base depth with feet: 26 cm - Subject alone Width: 36 cm Depth: 18 cm Height of subject alone: 20 cm D: 1349574   I remain at your disposal for any questions.
