Very beautiful large coffee table from the prestigious Maison Jansen, Directoire type, neoclassical 1960's in bronze brass and leather, superbly patinated. (Coffee tables of this style rarely exceed 90cm, this one measures 102.5cm)
The thick clear glass is framed by a gilded brass part, resting on four gunmetal legs under a gadrooned tassel and tapered gilded bronze legs holding a rectangular spacer tray with complex geometry covered with superbly patinated brown leather with a gold patterned outline.
The glass has no dents or chips, only a few discreet scratches. This table is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful, elegant and timeless works of Maison Jansen.
