Lucien BRISDOUX (1878-1963) - France He took over from his father Achille in 1905, then in 1927 he created his own workshop, supported by a single collaborator, Fernand LAURENT (1885-1946). His production was then exclusively devoted to cast decorative stoneware, despite his talents as a turner, and he therefore concentrated his research on numerous tests of clays and glazes, which notably benefited Raoul LACHENAL in 1924-1925, or Lucien ARNAUD in the 1930s. He was fond of metallescent enamels (gold or platinum) with casting effects obtained by projection of creosote, after application of ceramic gold, but abandoned this technique in 1940 for economic reasons. He sold his business on June 1, 1956. Diameter: 14 cm Height: 11 cm Attention, small snag Brand: Brisdoux Lucien Origin: Central France Additional filters: LUCIEN BRISDOUX
