Set of 5 chairs N°20 stamped and labeled J&J KOHN, from Vienna Austria, 1885 ca. Kohn's "omega" model is distinguished from that of Thonet by a "violin" silhouette of the backrest, and a thinness of the front feet which is not very widespread. This chair is judged by some to be the most elegant of the N°20s. “Natural beech” tint, under shellac with stamping. Excellent condition, stable and solid, fine example of wood selection. Can and should be used daily. Canings in perfect condition, six new "French" threads in 2.25 mm x 2.5 mm (one SR weave) The canings were left in their natural color, they can of course be dyed on demand.
