Historical context :
The old Toledo Arms Factory is located in the Spanish city of Toledo, Castile-La Mancha. Since 1998 the complex has been occupied by the University of Castilla-La Mancha, forming a scientific and technological campus. It is characterized by the presentation of a group of the best preserved ancient industrial buildings, of exceptional beauty and high quality architecture, never made in Spain over the last two centuries.
This industrial complex which has been operating for over two hundred years has a single large building, its size has increased throughout its history, as industrial needs increased, leading to the creation of a so-called industrial city. The factory is located between the neighborhoods of Santa Teresa, Poblado Obrero and San Pedro el Verde, on the right bank of the Tagus River, about two kilometers from the center of the city of Toledo.

Lot of two very beautiful Spanish swords. The handles are in gilded bronze with floral motifs and military symbolism. The original watermarks are still present. The scabbards are original made of leather and engraved brass with its very beautiful original gilding. Both blades are marked with the Toledo factory: ''TOLEDO SPAIN''. As well as different and beautiful engravings all along the blade. The second sword is similar in every way, except for the ''Toledo'' marking which is slightly different. Both swords are quite clean and in good condition for their age. They probably date from the end of the 19th century (to be verified).
Two beautiful pieces which can easily decorate your window with Spanish sabers or exotic European sabers, marked with the prestigious ''Toledo'' manufacture.
