LITHOGRAPHY JACQUES JOACHIM JEAN RIGAL CLEMATITE ARTIST'S PROOF FOND NOIR 1967 A4810This work dates from 1967, it is an artist's proof. Jacques Joachim Jean Rigal was born in Paris on July 29, 1926. Rigal was a child prodigy. He began drawing at the age of four and at eight he was encouraged to pursue this interest by artists Jacques Schiffrin, André Malraux and Jean Cassou. From the age of ten, he exhibited at the Salon d'Automne. J.J.J. Rigal died on February 24, 1997 in Fontenay-aux-Roses. We note that the paper is slightly warped, foxing spots in places in the margin, scratches on the frame and two minimal shocks at the bottom.
