Eliette Hervé (Helyet), born in 1935 in Nantes. Painter, sculptor and visual artist. Helyet's work is that of a committed woman. His serious gaze is posed with acuity on the cruel world which surrounds us. Her paintings and sculptures speak to us of women sacrificed, sometimes even annihilated, of orphan children eternal victims of wars and intolerance. She denounces injustice without violence with a force without harshness which nevertheless challenges us, in close-up portraits with simple lines but where the huge eyes question.
