It is countersigned Frans Masereel 1962, it bears a dedication Frans Masereel is a Belgian engraver, painter and illustrator (1889-1972). Committed artist, humanist, libertarian, anti-militarist pacifist, marked by the bloody torment of the First World War, his works uncompromisingly denounce the horrors of war, oppression and social injustice. Author of a profuse work, tireless illustrator, pedagogue, his most famous graphic work is undoubtedly My Book of Hours (1919): he is considered as the precursor of the graphic novel. There is a protective tile. The general condition is good, note scratches and rubbing on the frame. For the state thank you for detailing the photos. Feel free to zoom.
