Lithograph Henri Rivière La Butte Montmartre vue des Fortifications - Paysages Parisiens A5321 This lithograph “La Butte Montmartre vue des Fortifications - Paysages Parisiens” is signed Henri Rivière and bears a red stamp stamp at the bottom right. It is authentic and old. For the condition, note in the margin, folds at the bottom and top, traces of ink and four printer's marks, the corners are slightly dog-eared. On the lithograph, an ink line and a small stain at the top left, small stains in places. The lithograph is very fresh in color, once framed most of the defects will be invisible. We have taken as many photos of the defects as possible so that you can judge the condition. Sold as presented. Henri Rivière (1864-1951) is a French painter, engraver and illustrator. He began his career with drawing and then with intaglio engraving and specifically etching in 1882. At the same time, he began a career as a director and scenographer, in 1886, of the shadow theater at the Chat Noir cabaret, shows that he improved by creating very innovative color sets. He then devoted himself exclusively to painting and engraving and established himself in the history of etching, printmaking, woodcut, lithography and watercolor (he painted about a thousand watercolors).
