19th century lithograph entitled Crow nest from Bull Hill drawn by WH Bartlett, very well framed under glass? At sight the lithograph measures 19 x 15, the frame measures 32.5 x 28.5. Another lithograph by the same author went online at the same time, both displayed on the same wall by the former owner. William Henry Bartlett was born 1809 and died in 1854. He became one of the foremost illustrators of topography of his generation. He first came to the United States in 1835 to draw the buildings, towns and scenery of the Northeastern United States. Bartletts renditions were accurate and interesting for travelers from America as well as abroad. His work is considered some of the best historic American documentation ever published during the early 19th Century. The work of WH Bartlett coming from American Scenery published in 1837 in London.
