Lithograph by Henri Rivière The Fairytale Hours - The Wind A5470 This lithograph “The Fairytale Hours - The Wind” is signed Henri Rivière and bears a red stamp in the lower right corner. The work is authentic and old. For the condition, note in the margin, a vertical trace of folding on the left, a fold of the corner in the lower right corner, small stains. On the litho, small stains in places. The lithograph is very fresh in color, once framed most of the defects will be barely visible. Henri Rivière (1864-1951) is a French painter, engraver and illustrator. He began his career with drawing and then with intaglio engraving and specifically etching in 1882. At the same time, he began a career as a director and scenographer, in 1886, of the shadow theater at the Chat Noir cabaret, shows that he improved by creating very innovative color sets. He then devoted himself exclusively to painting and engraving and established himself in the history of etching, printmaking, wood engraving, lithography and watercolor (he painted around a thousand watercolors).
