Lithograph by Henri Rivière L'Ile de Bréhat Le Beau Pays de Bretagne A5308 This lithograph "L'Ile de Bréhat - Le Beau Pays de Bretagne" is signed Henri Rivière and bears a red stamp stamp at the bottom right. It is authentic and old. Note folds in the top left corner, stains at the top left and in the corners, small tears and an ink line in the left edge, traces of folds and dirt at the top in the right corner, a diagonal fold that touches the top corner. Stains in places, a loss on the edge of the right margin, a small pinhole in the left margin, a small tear of 0.5 cm at the top on the outer edge and one of 1.5 cm on the left. The lithograph has remained very fresh in color and in a good general state of conservation. The most important defects are in the margin and will have disappeared once the lithograph is framed. We have taken as many photos of the defects as possible so that you can judge the condition. Sold as presented. Henri Rivière (1864-1951) is a French painter, engraver and illustrator. He began his career with drawing and then with intaglio engraving and specifically etching in 1882. At the same time, he began a career as a director and scenographer, in 1886, of the shadow theater at the Chat Noir cabaret, shows that he improved by creating very innovative color sets. He then devoted himself exclusively to painting and engraving and established himself in the history of etching, prints, woodcuts, lithography and watercolors (he painted around a thousand watercolors).
