Lithograph by Henri Rivière L'Ile de Bréhat Le Beau Pays de Bretagne A5307 This lithograph "L'Ile de Bréhat - Le Beau Pays de Bretagne" is signed and has a red stamp stamp at the bottom right. It is authentic and old. We note a fold and an ink line from top to bottom on the left margin, a 0.6 cm tear in the bottom right margin, a triangular stain in the bottom right corner, small dirt in the margin, small stains on the litho (in the sky). On the back, a few small stains. The lithograph remains however very fresh in color, once framed most of these defects will be invisible. We have taken as many photos of the defects as possible so that you can judge the condition. Sold as presented. Henri Rivière (1864-1951) is a French painter, engraver and illustrator. He began his career with drawing and then with intaglio engraving and specifically etching in 1882. At the same time, he began a career as a director and scenographer, in 1886, of the shadow theater at the Chat Noir cabaret, shows that he improved by creating very innovative color sets. He then devoted himself exclusively to painting and engraving and established himself in the history of etching, printmaking, woodcut, lithography and watercolor (he painted about a thousand watercolors).
