Large Sculpture Teppanom/Buddha Thai sacred angel/Guardian and protector of temples kneeling in prayer position with hands clasped - In bronze with green and gold patina, vintage from the 50s/60s - Richly decorated with ceremonial costumes and jewelry adorned with gold leaf - The Teppanoms are mythical angels and are part of the Buddhist tradition in Thailand. They came to earth for the first time when Buddha attained enlightenment and became the protectors of Buddha, then the guardians of religious temples. They are considered the protectors of the owner's home and land. - Dimensions/Height 37 cm. Width 13 cm. Base 11 x 11 cm. Net weight 3 kg 445. TB vintage condition
