Origin. Burkina Faso, 1960s - The Mossi live mainly in Burkina Faso, but also in certain border regions of surrounding countries, such as Ghana, Ivory Coast. It is the members of the Blacksmiths Society who sculpt and wear the masks. The Mossi are the descendants of conquering riders who came from Ghana in the 15th century, the famous Mossi riders. They are good warriors, fought so that their territories would never be conquered. Thus the territories of the central plateau of Burkina have belonged to them for 800 years - Dimensions/Maximum height 42 cm. Max width 32 cm. Depth 11 cm. Net weight 2 kg 153.
