Very large and extremely rare antique carafe circa 1840 (appraised), stamped and numbered by a now-defunct earthenware factory, in slip of a very soft and original gray color. Large capacity of 2.5 liters. Beautiful face in relief of a bearded man (mythological?) under the spout. Multiple reliefs in arabesques on the domed body. Relief scales on the foot. Relief hollowed out gadroons at the joints of the top and bottom. Fluted relief on the large curved handle. Wide burgundy-chocolate borders on the top and bottom. Is sufficient in itself as a unique decorative element, can also be used as an elegant vase. Collector's item, in perfect condition.
