1970 JEAN CLAUDE MAHEY LAMP IN LACQUER ON CREAM BACKGROUND BRONZE ORNAMENTATION FOLIAGE WOMAN M1347 This Jean-Claude Mahey lamp was produced by Maison Romeo in the 1970s. It is typical of J.C. Mahey's lighting work. This lamp is not signed. It has a pretty ornamentation, it is a very beautifully crafted bronze woman. The surround is in gilded brass. This lamp works, but the electricity is original, so it needs to be reviewed for safety issues. Jean-Claude Mahey invents a design placed under the influence of a childhood lived within a family of decorative painters, originally from Mayenne, where so many bourgeois residences and small castles are nestled. Inspired, he studied Applied Arts in Paris and founded his decoration company in 1966 to create his very first collection of contemporary furniture in 1976. As a true and close collaborator, his wife, Betty Mahey, will present this collection which will be a great success. Thanks to the use of noble materials such as lacquer, precious wood burl, marble and copper, this collection will be sold in Tokyo, New York, Beverly Hills as well as on the African continent and in the countries of the Persian Gulf. The lamp is in generally acceptable condition, we note stains on the lampshade, traces on the gilding of the base. Our many photos allow you to appreciate the quality of the object. For the state thank you for detailing the photos. Feel free to zoom. The photos are an integral part of the description.
