This model of neo-Gothic-inspired arcade chair/armchair was created by THONET around 1885. KOHN was inspired by it in 1902 and generally took the same design for its No. 143 with a single piece of curved wood forming the frame of the backrest and the two side legs, in order to give volume it adorns the top of the central legs with turned wooden capitals.
