It bears the marking ENS.Karl Ens was born and died in Lauscha, Germany, 1802- November 5, 1865. In 1790, Johann Karl Ens (1759-1813) founded a porcelain factory with his brothers. In the 19th and 20th centuries, the company specialized in making animals (birds, dogs, butterflies and fish). Most of the collection, which includes more than 400 models, concerns birds. Each piece is made by hand. For a single bird model, there are several moulds; the pieces are then assembled to form the figurine. We report a missing piece of leaf, however this beautiful bird remains in an acceptable state of preservation, the colors have remained bright.
