EXOTIC BIRD PARROT JOHANN KARL ENS PORCELAIN XXTH GERMANY M1342 This parrot is marked "ENS". In 1790, Johann Karl ENS (1759-1813) founded a porcelain factory with his brothers. In the 19th and 20th centuries, the company specialized in making animals (birds, dogs, butterflies and fish). Most of the collection, which has more than 400 models, concerns birds. Each piece is made by hand. For a single bird model, there are several moulds; the pieces are then assembled to form the figurine. Along with Meissen and Dresden, the Karl ENS factory is one of the main signatures of the famous porcelain of Saxony. Still in operation, the factory has made a specialty of these famous birds, highly sought after and always appreciated by connoisseurs and collectors. The latter unanimously recognize the know-how of the manufacture, the finesse of the colors and the preciousness of the figures, in particular in the delicacy of their attitudes. For the state, note a small lack of leaves in several places. The set is rather in a decent general state. Our many photos allow you to appreciate the quality of the object. For the state thank you for detailing the photos. Feel free to zoom. The photos are an integral part of the description... Dimensions: Height: 23.5 cm Width: 12.5 cm Depth: 10.5 cm I remain at your disposal for any questions.
