Metal window with opening central part, late 19th century.
It comes from a building from 1880.
The central part opens inwards guided by a “compass” on the side which also serves as a stop, the outer part has a water discharge in the lower part.
A system of weights attached to the central hook allows the opening and closing of the opening part, the pulley (wooden wheel) was fixed to the wall or ceiling.
Solid, authentic!
Difficult to close, straighten slightly for a perfect closure!
No glass present, glasses could be transparent, translucent or mirrors.
Seen from the outside, at the top the frame measures 119cm, 105cm on the sides, the opening part itself measures 74.5cm wide.
The frame measures at its narrowest 10mm thick and the rebate at the level of the glasses approximately 15mm. The thickness with their water discharge included is 40mm.
The whole thing weighs 33kg.
