HALF-SKELETON PENDULUM GOLDEN BRONZE ENAMEL DIAL SIGNED GATON JOLLY M219 This half-skeleton pendulum is signed Gaston Jolly Paris is late eighteenth early nineteenth, wire movement.It is François-Pierre Jolly called Gaston Jolly received master watchmaker on 6 May 1784, active rue des Arcis, then rue Michel Le Comte in the first quarter of the 19th century, he died in the 1820s.It is in gilded bronze, it has an enamel dial, it is surmounted by a palmette with foliage scrolls .It rests on a centered circular base formed by four grenades resting on spinning feet and supported by uprights decorated with ram's heads, a sun pendulum.There is a peculiarity there are three hands, the third drives the mechanism visible in star which sets out again as a star, this gear can be used to date the days or a chronometer? The dial suffered a shock on the left, there are cracks we took as many photos as possible. The palmette on the top has been welded together we can see the trace, small wear of the gilding also in this place, oxidation on the top near the pine cone and close to a foot, micro scratches. Pendulum sold as is, no revised, not cleaned, not tested. I am not a specialist, I could not confirm a perfect working condition. It is sold nature in its own juice as appreciated by collectors.
