Nice pair of vintage bookends. Sculptural object that can recall the sails of a boat, or stars. These bookends have a brutalist or modernist style, with influences from abstract art. The use of hammered bronze and the black stone base is typical of the design of the 1950s-1970s. These pieces evoke the world of certain 20th century sculptors such as Curtis Jere or Albert Tormos, who used abstract shapes and raw materials for their decorative works.
