Flamé Sandstone Vase signed Denbac very early 20th century - Art Nouveau

Very pretty piece of French Dembac art pottery.
Fluid glaze, soft texture and subtle color.

Signed with the inscribed mark "Denbac" and the number 147, it dates from the period from 1911 to the 1920s.
This is the brand of the famous company Denbac from Vierzon in France,
created by the ceramic artist René Denert in partnership with René-Louis Balichon in 1911.

Denbac had an extensive network of retail outlets, selling to several fashionable department stores in Paris,
such as Printemps, Galeries Lafayette.


The vase is a rare piece that is in perfect condition.
The company, whose catalog includes 670 models, closed its doors in 1952.
Even if the war had already put a considerable damper on its activity.
