Historical context :
The Restoration, a chrononym which became common in the years 1814-18152, is the period in French history corresponding to the restoration of the monarchy as a political regime in France, or more precisely in what remained of the Napoleonic Empire. It is subdivided into: on the one hand, a first period between the first abdication of Napoleon Bonaparte on April 6, 1814 and his return to power in March 1815; on the other hand, a second period between its definitive fall (or fall of the First Empire) and the Three Glorious Revolutions from July 29, 1830.

Beautiful blade with a central gutter, marked ''N and B'' + ''star''. The blade is marked on the edge (on the back): ''MANUFACTURE ROYALE D'ARMES DE CHATELLERAULT''. Handle marked: ''1827''. Soft leather scabbard, completely original and extremely rare, bronze trim with its very rare original harness with artillery buckles (grenade + crossed cannon)!
