Description

Etching by Edouard Manet Les Chats three sketches of cats 20th century H7003This engraving by Manet is not signed, but there is no doubt about the age and period. Édouard Manet (1832-1883) was a major French painter and engraver of the late 19th century. A precursor of modern painting, which he freed from academicism, Édouard Manet is wrongly considered one of the fathers of impressionism: he is in fact distinguished by a style concerned with reality which does not use (or little) new color techniques and the particular treatment of light. The work has writing on the back indicating "Les Chats, etching by Manet (unsigned)..." We found the same model on Art Price. The work is in good general condition. Note that the frame has been opened, it is therefore more difficult to close and the work has a tendency to move and is difficult to maintain. Note rust in the margin on the edges of the work, the rust is hidden by the current frame, a few dots on the margin are visible, a fairly large stain in the center of the painting, wear on the frame. The work does not have protective glass. Everything remains acceptable. Our numerous photos allow you to appreciate the quality of the object. For the condition, please detail the photos. Feel free to zoom in. The photos are an integral part of the description. Dimensions: - Frame Height: 33.3 cm Width: 43 cm Thickness: 1.3 cm - Work Height: 29.3 cm Width: 38.9 cm S: 1KP24E33P: 1191772 I remain at your disposal for any questions.
