ERNEST MILLARD WATERCOLOR ON PAPER LANDSCAPE IN THE GORGES DU MARCANEAU? MARCADO? C1152 Watercolor on paper, "In the Gorges du Marcaneau? Marcado? (Htes P.)" Wooden frame, signed E. Millard on the lower left corner. Very nice technique. Marie Louise is a little yellowed, dirt has slipped between the glass and the paint at the signature level. (See photo) Sold as is, as shown in the photos Ernest Jean-Marie Millard de Bois Durand ( 1872-1946) Millard de Bois Durand (Ernest-Jean-Marie) is a painter, watercolourist and designer born in Paris on July 29, 1872. He was also professor of drawing and artistic anatomy at the Boulle School. since 1905, to the Mountain Painters, to the French Federation of Artists. Twice awarded at Decorative Arts (1890), medalist at Fontainebleau (1912), French Renaissance medalist (1927). Exhibited to French Artists (1895 - 1912) at Georges Petit (1901 - 1903), Salon des Jeunes (1919 - 1920), Cercle des Gobelins, since 1910 as well as in Angers, Rouen, Versailles, Bordeaux, Nevers, Béziers, Fontainebleau.
