The Ercuis factory is a major French goldsmith house founded in 1867 and still in business today. It is known for its production of silver plated cutlery and tableware (silver plating). At the end of the 19th century, it benefited from the strong development of silver plated goldsmithing with more than 300 workers in 1892. In 1908, it produced more than 8,000 pieces of cutlery of all models per day.
