ENHANCED COLOR ENGRAVING BY MALO RENAULT LE FURETEUR BRETON M940This color-enhanced engraving is by Malo Renault for Le Fureteur Breton (Ar Furcher Brezonec) around 1900. Malo-Renault, pseudonym of Émile Auguste Renault, born in Saint-Malo on October 5 1870 and died in Le Havre on July 19, 1938 is a draftsman, pastel artist, engraver and illustrator. Le Fureteur breton is an illustrated bimonthly regionalist documentary bulletin, published by the Librairie bretonne, rue du Val de Grace in Paris, published between 1905 and 1923. It contains historical, literary and artistic curiosities of Brittany, Celtic studies, genealogies of Breton families and especially questions and answers from readers. The bulletin was published from 1905 to 1923, with a break between 1914 and 1919. It came out every two months from 1905 to 1914, then became aperiodic from July-August 1919 to January-February 1920. It then became quarterly with the latest issues (71 and 72). The cover features a woodcut by Malo Renault depicting a reader lit by a candle. For the state, we point out that the paper is yellowed, there are traces in the margin, slight creases on the corners, more important on the right side over the entire height and on the bottom right with discoloration, slight chafing and freckles. Our many photos allow you to appreciate the quality of the object. For the state thank you for detailing the photos. Feel free to zoom. The photos are an integral part of the description. Engraving dimensions: Height: 40 cm Width: 22.5 cm With margin Height: 50 cm Width: 65 cm I remain at your disposal for any questions.
