Engraving by René Pinard Confluence of the Loire and the Erdre Nantes 1933 countersigned first state 2/2 L5754 This engraving represents Nantes, it was produced by René Pinard, it is countersigned. It is dated first state 2/2. It has a pretty natural wooden frame and protective glass. Unfortunately, this engraving is pitted and stained, we report numerous rust spots, stains, small accidents to report on the frame, nothing dramatic. Everything is visible in our photos. René Pinard (1883-1938) is a French painter and engraver. He was appointed Marine Painter in 1921. Obviously, as a marine painter, most of his work has the theme of the sea, the navy and sailors. Moreover, more often boats than the sea itself. During his 35-year career as a painter, he produced a number of beautiful works: engravings, drawings, watercolors, characterized by a systematic use of powerful black.
