Engraving by René Pinard 1928 Le Bras de la Bourse seen from the Pont de la Poissonnerie Nantes countersigned numbered wooden frame L5760 Here is an engraving by René Pinard representing "Le Bras de la Bourse in 1926 seen from the Pont de la Poissonnerie", it is countersigned and numbered 42/130. It has a natural wooden frame and protective glass. This engraving is unfortunately pitted and stained, note freckles and stains in many places, visible in our photos. However, it remains presentable. René Pinard (1883-1938) is a French painter and engraver. He was appointed Marine Painter in 1921. Obviously, as a marine painter, most of his work has the theme of the sea, the navy and sailors. Moreover, more often boats than the sea itself. During his 35-year career as a painter, he produced a number of beautiful works: engravings, drawings, watercolors, characterized by a systematic use of powerful black.
