Jan DE VISSCHER is an artist born in the Netherlands. Nicolaes Pietersz Berchem or Berghem, born in Haarlem on October 1, 1620 and died in Amsterdam on February 18, 1683, is a Dutch painter, draftsman and engraver (United Provinces) of the century gold. Son of the still life painter Pieter Claesz, he mainly creates landscapes. A very prolific artist, who is among the main Dutch Italianists, he enjoyed significant success during his lifetime; his work influenced landscape painting until the 18th century, not only in his country of origin but also in France and England. He is considered one of the precursors of Rococo painting.  He also excelled in the representation of animals, and livestock in particular. Our photos allow you to appreciate the quality of the work.
