ENGRAVING LUCIEN DAUTREY PORTRAIT FRENCH RIDER NORMAN DE ENGRAVING W283Lucien Dautrey Lucien Dautrey, born in Auxonne on May 6, 1851 and died on March 8, 19261 in Paris, is a French engraver. He married Augustine Eugenie Delorme. Lucien Dautrey is an aquafortist, student of Félix Bracquemond and Charles Courtry. He made his debut at the Salon of French Artists in 1880, exhibiting an etching, Souvenir de Bretagne after Charles Le Roux. His work as an engraver allowed him to meet many artists of his time, such as Charles Meissonier. He is a member of the Society of French Aquafortists founded by Auguste Laguillermie. At the Universal Exhibition of 1900, he received a silver medal. His last exhibition at the Salon des artistes français dates back to 19053. He lives in a Parisian apartment at 41, boulevard Saint-Jacques, just like René Francillon and Jean Peské. He died at his home at the age of 74. For the condition, note small spots of oxidation and halos, pitting, slight crease from handling, trace of folding in places, small lack, micro - tear, engraving fixed at the top on thick sheet ....
