Pietro Fontana was a member of the Academy of San Luca. He began his career as a student of Raffaello Morghen, and is best known for his comprehensive series of engravings of Canova's sculptures. He died in Rome in 1837. Vincenzo Camuccini (1771-1844) was an early 19th century Italian painter and neoclassical lithographer of religious or historical subjects. For the state, we report black spots, freckles, the paper is yellowed in various places, small tears, small gaps, folds and creases on the perimeter and the angles, friction and micro- scratches on the engraving, however it remains in a decent state of preservation.
