ENGRAVING BY L GARNERAY VIEW OF NANTES IN COLOR BROWN FRAME L1741The frame of this engraving is made of stucco, it is plaster. The engraving is from the early 20th century, it is in color. This is a view of Nantes by Ambroise Louis Garneray painter and engraver. Filed with management. Ambroise Louis Garneray, born February 19, 1783 in Paris where he died September 11, 1857, was a privateer, marine painter, draftsman, engraver and French writer, precursor of the maritime adventure novel. He knew an adventurous life with Surcouf and Dutertre, he was eight years prisoner of the British. For the state we report some small rubbing and foxing on the engraving and in the margin, however this engraving remains in good general condition.
